Why use Categories in WordPress?

WordPress Categories are important for several reasons:

1. By using WordPress categories you essentially create multiple blogs on the same website. For instanse, I could have a New England Travel Category and a European Travel category. By choosing to put my posts in one or the other I can then link to just that category, showing the user just what they’re interested in.

2. SEO. Categories are great for Search Engine Optimization, they show engines like google that I have varied content in different areas of my site.
